First frame: Gary made a 93 break on his 7th visit

Second frame: Gary made a 36 to lead 53 to 29, Martyn potted the last red and snookered Gary, Gary made two fouls, Martyn then potted yellow & green, missed the brown but left Gary in a snooker, he managed to hit the brown and after three visits of safety play Martyn made a 22 clearance to win on the black.

Third frame: Gary made a 32 followed with Martyn making a 40, Gary then made a 27 to lead 59-40 with only the colours remaining, the frame followed a similar pattern to the previous,  Martyn potted yellow and missed the green and left Gary in a snooker, Gary escaped but then Martyn made a 25 clearance to win on the black.

Fourth frame:  Gary was leading 38-6 when Martyn made a 51 to lead by 19  with last 4 colours still on the table, Gary missed the brown in green pocket, Martyn then potted a good brown and blue for Gary to need several snookers and after several visits of trying eventually conceded.

Seventh frame: Gary was trailing 27 to 44, Martyn potted the yellow in the green bag only for the white to travel up the table and drop into the black pocket on the same side, this gave Gary a chance of clearing the table, he potted yellow and green and attempting the brown in the green pocket, just missed it and the brown rolled up over middle bag for Martyn to pot and just missed the blue in the opposite middle bag, however on his next visit he potted the blue for Gary to need a snooker. Gary had ten attempts and came very close on several occasions but Martyn eventually potted the pink to clinch the match.

GARY WINS HIS FIFTH TITLE WHICH HE LAST WON IN 2009

DEFEATING KARL LE FEVRE 4-0

Gary won the first with a 90 clearance

the second with a 77

the third with a 42

the fourth frame Gary made a 40, Karl replied with a 68 to go 28 ahead and just missed the yellow in middle pocket whilst on his break which would have probably secured the frame. so leaving Gary needing only one snooker. Gary did get the required snooker on the yellow and then cleared the colours to win on the black
